Default Diesel's Losi

just when i was thinking about collecting parts for an axial comp build, this kinda fell into my lap. ive wanted a losi since they came out but was scared by all the problems they were having with CVDs and gears and shit. but since those problems have been cleared up by Losi, im pretty excited about this rig.

i started out by sending losi my serial number, 000260, and as soon as the bag of new parts showed up, it was time to get to work. i installed my new dig springs, new spools and worms and V3 CVDs. i installed some associated shock o-rings between the ballends on the chassis end of the lower links, then i set up the suspension like Del Monte, straight off of the setup sheets on losi's website and outboarded the rear shocks. then of course, i installed some mayhem wicked Js and an old set of comp claws. (those things get better with age.)

she's currently awaiting the closing of my house so i can buy the brushless setup for it.

I'd like to have some rocks to crawl on, IL sucks for terrain. It's not flat, but all the rock is buried, deep. Even hard to find stuff on the river banks...oh well, I'll keep lookin!!

I miss Vegas!!

We'll there's the Rox Box in Indiana, and a couple of other indoor courses. There are outdoor spots too, but so far I am kinda dissapointed. I think the comp this weekend is actually at some natural rock, if it isn't covered by high river water...we've had a shit load of rain!!

Garage, no, but I have a 1500 sq.ft partially finished basement if you want to load up your brother or dad's trailer and haul me out some decent rock!! I have even been looking into renting my own business space for my own Rox Box, if I can figure out how to come up with the extra $$!! we'll see, if I can make money on it, wife will green light it, but if no profit, ixnay on the monay!! lol

that'd be badass if you could open up your own indoor crawling arena! can you buy sandstone boulders or flag stone at landscape companies out there?

not much of an update but i cut and grooved the stock losi rock claw tires and mounted them up on the mayhems one this rig. it bothered me seeing it sitting on the table with those old beat up tires on it... unfortunately im not sure the mayhems are gonna work. theyre too thick for the stock Hexes on the Losi, the wheel nuts don't tighten down enough to use the "lock" portion of the lock nut.
